WHAT IS IT

BCAAs, or branched-chain amino acids, consist of the essential amino acids leucine, isoleucine, and valine. These nutrients are considered essential because the body cannot produce them on its own, requiring intake through food or supplements. Unlike other amino acids, BCAAs are metabolized directly in the muscles instead of the liver, allowing them to play a key role in muscle repair, growth, recovery, and reducing workout fatigue.

• Isoleucine aids in delivering glucose to muscle cells, fueling workouts and preventing muscle breakdown. It is also crucial for synthesizing proteins needed for muscle recovery and development.
• Leucine is a primary driver of muscle protein synthesis, activating pathways that promote protein production. It also generates energy molecules like acetyl-CoA and acetoacetate, which sustain the body during high-intensity exercise.
• Valine supports muscle repair by providing extra glucose for energy and accelerating the recovery of damaged tissues. It also helps maintain a proper nitrogen balance, which is essential for muscle metabolism and growth.
