WHAT IS IT

This sterile solution is specifically formulated for use with medications that need to be diluted or dissolved in an aqueous medium before injection. WATERMED (Bacteriostatic Water for Injections) is a highly purified, sterilized water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, designed for diluting or dissolving drugs to the proper consistency for injection. Bacteriostatic water (BW) has a pH of approximately 5.7.


HOW TO USE

Bacteriostatic water is used to dilute or dissolve drugs for injection, following the instructions from the drug's manufacturer. It differs from sterilized water, which is filtered and purified but contains no additives and is typically for single use only.


STORAGE

Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C. Protect from light. Do not freeze.
